Legal Notice of Public Hearing on the Budget - Monday, October 16, 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Proposed Budget of the Tully Joint Fire District of the

Town of Tully, State of New York, will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Tully Joint Fire District, for its consideration.

A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Tully Fire Station, 1 Railroad Street, in the Town of Tully, New York 13159 on the 17th day of October, 2017.

Pursuant to Town Law §105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing.

The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as it is submitted, or for or against any item or items contained in the proposed budget, and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same.

That a copy of the proposed 2018 budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of

Tully, 5833 Meetinghouse Road, Tully, NY and Fire District Secretary at 1 Railroad Street, Tully, NY where it may be inspected by any interested person during office hours. Cheryl Wayne- District Secretary

LEGAL NOTICE - Snow Plowing - Monday, October 16, 2017

The Tully Joint Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners will accept sealed bids for snow plowing the fire station located at 1 Railroad Street, Tully, NY for the upcoming 2017- 2018 winter season.  Bids submitted should be per plow for emergency vehicles to safely leave the station.  Bid must include Scope of Services provided as plowing needs to be completed by 7:00AM.  Contractor required to have $1,000,000 comprehensive general liability insurance certificate or similar.

Bids may be mailed or dropped off at 1 Railroad Street, Tully, NY and must be received by Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 5:00PM.  Bids will be read publicly October 19, 2017 at the Fire Commissioners regular monthly meeting at 1 Railroad Street, Tully, NY at 7:00 PM at which time the bid will be awarded. The Board of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

NOTICE: Budget Workshop - Monday, October 16, 2017

The Tully Joint Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners will hold a 2018 final budget workshop on October 17, 2017 at 6:30 PM at the Tully Fire Station located at 1 Railroad Street, Tully, NY.

Tully Fire District proudly protects 4500 people living in an area of 26 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status.

The Tully Fire & Ambulance District is protected by the dedicated volunteers of the Tully Hose Company and the Career Firefighters Association of Tully. Providing service since 1895 the Tully Hose Company along with the districts Career Association provide 24 hour service, 7 days a week. The Tully area is protected by 2 fire stations. Station #1 located on Railroad Street in the Village ofTully and Station #2 located in the Hamlet of Vesper on Route 80. The Tully Fire & Ambulance District has been growing in population and building production. Faced with new challenges everyday the district is working to adapt to these needs. Protecting a diverse community of a village area, rural area, commercial district, and state highway, the district has worked to establish the proper equipment and training to better serve its community.
